Claude CMS on Hostinger hosting
Already host with Hostinger? Every Hostinger web and cloud plan can run Claude CMS, so you can install it in a few minutes and have Claude build and edit your site from a conversation. This guide covers which Hostinger plans work, the steps in hPanel, and the one check that prevents most failed connections.
Claude CMS is a PHP application with a built-in database. On Hostinger it runs on any web or cloud hosting plan: hPanel offers PHP 8.2 to 8.5, the LiteSpeed web server reads .htaccess rewrites, and free Lifetime SSL issues a certificate for your domain. Hostinger’s AI Builder and VPS plans work differently, covered below.
Which Hostinger plans work
Hostinger sells hosting for websites, for WordPress, in the cloud and on a VPS, plus its own website builder. Claude CMS installs on everything that gives you real server files and PHP. Here is where each one stands.

What Claude CMS needs from your Hostinger plan
Four things. Hostinger’s web and cloud plans cover all four, but the certificate only arrives once your domain points to Hostinger, so it is the one worth checking before you start.
The installer runs a pre-flight check (PHP version, ZipArchive, a writable folder, outbound downloads) and tells you what is missing before it changes anything.
PHP 8.2 or newer
Claude CMS runs on PHP 8.0 and up, but choose 8.3 or 8.4: PHP 8.2 stops receiving security fixes at the end of 2026. New Hostinger websites start on 8.3; older ones keep their version until you change it.
The Zip extension
The installer downloads Claude CMS as one package and unpacks it in place. Most PHP extensions are switched on by default at Hostinger, and the installer tells you if Zip is not.
.htaccess rewrites
Clean page addresses come from an .htaccess file. Hostinger’s web and cloud plans run the LiteSpeed web server, which reads it just as Apache does.
A certificate for your domain
Claude reaches your site over HTTPS and checks the certificate. Hostinger’s free Lifetime SSL covers it, but it is only issued once your domain points to Hostinger. Step one below covers it.
No database to set up. Claude CMS keeps your content in a built-in database file that the installer creates for you. If you would rather use a MySQL database from hPanel, you can choose it during setup.
Install Claude CMS on Hostinger
You will need the installer link we email you once your Claude CMS account is set up. Everything else happens in hPanel, Hostinger’s control panel.
- Check your domain’s SSL is ActiveIn hPanel, go to Websites and select Dashboard next to your site, then open Security, then SSL. Your domain should show Active. If it shows Installing, give it a few minutes. If it failed, make sure the domain points to Hostinger and has only one A record, then install SSL again from the same screen.
- Check your PHP versionOn the same dashboard, find PHP Configuration in the sidebar. New sites start on PHP 8.3, which is fine. If yours is older, choose 8.3 or 8.4 and select Update. The version applies to every website on the plan, and once you move off a version older than 8.2 you cannot go back to it, so check your other sites first.
- Create a

Choose the built-in database unless you prefer a MySQL database from hPanel. - Register the site and connect ClaudeWhen the wizard finishes, select Register & Secure. Your registration code is already filled in, and the installer removes itself once your site is registered. Then add Claude CMS to Claude by following Connecting to Claude in our Help Centre.
Your existing site keeps running. Claude CMS installs into its own folder and changes nothing else. Once it is connected, Claude can work on the rest of your site’s files whenever you ask it to.
Starting from scratch? If the domain is not on your plan yet, add it first: in Websites, choose Create website on your plan, pick Custom PHP/HTML website and start with an empty website. Then follow the steps above.
Hostinger snags, and how to clear them
Claude can’t reach the site
Usually the certificate. Until hPanel shows your SSL as Active, Claude’s connection is refused. Check the domain points to Hostinger with a single A record, set Cloudflare to DNS only if you use it, install SSL again, then reconnect.
The installer says something is missing
It checks the PHP version, the Zip extension, a writable folder and outbound downloads before it starts. Change the version or switch the extension on under PHP Configuration in hPanel, or ask Hostinger support to enable what is missing.
Saving changes returns “403 Forbidden”
A security filter can mistake page content for an attack: ModSecurity on the server, or the security level of Hostinger CDN if it is switched on. Lower the level under Performance, then CDN, or ask Hostinger support to allow requests to /claude/api.php.
Your domain is at Hostinger, the site isn’t
Registering a domain and hosting a site are separate. If the site lives elsewhere, or with us, you only change DNS records at Hostinger. Here is how.

Claude CMS on Hostinger — common questions
Can I run Claude CMS on Hostinger hosting?
Yes, on Hostinger’s web hosting plans, its WordPress hosting plans, cloud hosting, and Hostinger VPS. It installs into its own folder next to anything already on the account. Websites made with Hostinger AI Builder have no server files to install into.
Which Hostinger plan do I need?
Any web or cloud plan will run it, Premium included. Claude CMS installs into a folder of a website you already have, so it does not use up a website slot. If you plan to run several separate websites, choose a plan that allows more of them.
Does it work on Hostinger’s WordPress hosting?
Yes. Hostinger sells the same hPanel plans for WordPress, so Claude CMS installs the same way, into its own folder next to WordPress. If you would rather keep WordPress as your site, connect Claude to it with our WordPress plugin instead.
Do I need to create a database in hPanel?
No. Claude CMS keeps your content in a built-in database file that the installer creates for you. If you would rather use MySQL, create a database in hPanel first and choose it during setup.
Will installing it affect my existing website?
No. The installer works inside the claude folder you create and leaves the rest of your site alone. Once Claude CMS is connected, Claude can work on your other files too, but only when you ask it to.
Why can’t Claude connect to my Hostinger site?
Almost always the certificate. Claude connects over HTTPS and refuses a certificate that was not issued for your domain. Hostinger’s free Lifetime SSL is only issued once the domain points to Hostinger, so open Security, then SSL in hPanel, check it shows Active, install it again if it failed, then reconnect.
Which PHP version should I use on Hostinger?
PHP 8.3 or 8.4. Claude CMS runs on PHP 8.0 and newer, and new Hostinger websites start on 8.3. The version you choose in PHP Configuration applies to every website on the plan, and once you move off a version older than 8.2 you cannot go back to it, so check your other sites before you change it.
Hostinger has its own connector for AI assistants. Do I still need Claude CMS?
They do different jobs. Hostinger Connector lets an AI coding assistant manage your Hostinger account, such as deploying a project, connecting a domain or checking a server. Claude CMS is the website itself: pages, navigation, forms and settings that Claude creates and edits from a conversation, with a backup kept of every file it changes. You can use both.
Can you install it on my Hostinger hosting for me?
