OAuth, scoped per product
The connector uses Zoho's OAuth 2.0 with separate scopes for CRM, Books and Inventory. Sign in to Claude CMS, open Connections and click Connect Zoho — you approve on Zoho's own screen, we never see your Zoho password, and you can withdraw access at any time from Connected Apps in your Zoho account.
Zoho routes you to your own region automatically, so it makes no difference whether your organisation is hosted in Europe, the US, India, Australia or Japan. Once connected, the Connections tab shows a permissions checklist so you can see exactly what Zoho granted — and what it didn't.

What is a Zoho connector?
A Zoho connector is an integration that links an app — in this case Claude, via MCP — to Zoho's APIs so it can work with your records on your behalf. With the Claude CMS Zoho connector that means reading and updating Zoho CRM contacts, leads and deals, Zoho Books customers and invoices, and Zoho Inventory items and sales orders, all from a Claude conversation and all authorised over OAuth.
How do I connect Claude to Zoho?
Sign in to Claude CMS, open the Connections tab and click Connect Zoho in the Zoho panel. You are handed to Zoho to sign in and approve the permissions, then returned to your account with the connection live. It takes under a minute and there is nothing to install and no API key to copy.
Does it work with Zoho One?
Yes. If you are a user inside a Zoho One organisation, the connector authorises against that organisation. Zoho will only grant permissions for the products your user actually has, so if CRM has not been provisioned for you it will be refused — ask your Zoho administrator to grant it, then reconnect.
Which Zoho data centre does it support?
All of them. The connector follows whichever region your Zoho account lives in — Europe, the US, India, Australia, Japan and the rest — and stores it per account, so refreshes and API calls always go to the right place.
Can Claude change my Zoho records without asking?
No. Every read and write is an explicit tool call you see in the conversation, and you can revoke the connector's access at any time from Connected Apps in your Zoho account.
