Stripe integration

Take payments with Stripe, keep every penny

Claude CMS stores run on your own Stripe account. Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, subscriptions and refunds, all settled straight to you — with no platform fee on any sale, at any size.

Stripe Connect Standard on your own account: Checkout Sessions with cards, wallets and Link, subscription-mode sessions for recurring products, refunds through the API, and signature-verified, idempotent webhooks. No platform fee on any charge.

Everything Stripe does, built into the store

Checkout, subscriptions, refunds and payment links are all part of the store. Nothing to install, nothing to keep updated, and nothing skimmed off the top.

Checkout Sessions, Billing subscriptions, refunds and Payment Links are wired into the store API and admin. Orders are created from webhook events and deduplicated by event id, so a retried webhook never makes a second order.

💳

Checkout

Stripe Checkout with cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link, 3D Secure when a bank asks for it, and the shipping rates you set up in the admin offered at the point of payment.

🔄

Subscriptions

Mark any product as a monthly subscription. Customers are charged today and on the same date every month, every renewal becomes an order to ship, and they can cancel from their account.

Refunds

Full or partial refunds from the order screen, or by asking Claude. The money goes back through Stripe to the original card and the order is marked for you.

🔗

Payment links

Create an order for a phone or email sale and send the customer a Stripe payment link. When they pay, the order appears with the rest.

🌎

Your currency

Charge in pounds, US dollars, euros, Australian or Canadian dollars. Prices stay exactly as you typed them; the store never converts anything behind your back.

Your own account

Payments settle into your Stripe account, not ours. We never hold your money and never see a card number, and you can disconnect from inside Stripe at any time.

Your Stripe, connected in minutes

The store uses Stripe Connect, the same mechanism marketplaces use, so your account stays yours and Stripe handles the identity checks.

Connect Standard onboarding: the store keeps only your account id and payments are processed on your account, so identity checks, payouts and disputes stay in your own Stripe dashboard. checkout.session.completed, invoice.payment_succeeded and customer.subscription events drive order state.

01

Press Connect

In the shop admin, choose Connect Stripe. If you already have a Stripe account you sign in to it; if not, Stripe walks you through opening one.

02

Stripe verifies you

Stripe asks for the details it needs to pay you out — business, bank account, identity. This is Stripe's own process and takes a few minutes for most businesses.

03

Start taking orders

Back in the store, checkout is live. Orders arrive in the admin as they are paid, and the confirmation email goes out from your own address.

What you need

A Stripe account (free to open, and step one creates it if you have none), your business and bank details for payouts, and about ten minutes.

How you get paid

Stripe pays out to your bank on its standard schedule for your country. The money never passes through us.

What it costs

Stripe’s card processing rate, set by Stripe and the same as on any platform. See stripe.com/pricing. Claude CMS adds nothing on top. Stores doing roughly $80,000 a month and up can ask Stripe for custom pricing and commonly land between 2.5% and 2.7%.

Payments, in plain English

Claude runs the shop through the same tools the admin uses, so anything you would click through, you can also just say.

Refund order 1016 in full and let the customer know.
Send a payment link for £120 to jo@example.com for the custom order we agreed.
Make the coffee box a monthly subscription at £24.
What did we take through Stripe this week, and what is still unfulfilled?
Create a 10% code for newsletter subscribers, one use each, ending Sunday.
Switch the store to US dollars — and remind me to check the prices.

Stripe here, or Stripe on a marketplace platform

Stripe's card rates are the same wherever you use it. What changes is what the platform adds on top.

We do not charge card processing fees. Check with Stripe for their card processing rates in your country.

Stripe charges the same everywhere. The platform’s cut is what changes.

Use Stripe on Shopify and Shopify adds its own percentage to every sale. Squarespace does the same on its entry plan. Drag the slider to see what that adds up to at your monthly sales.

Stripe on Claude CMS — common questions

Can I use Stripe with Claude CMS?

Yes. Every Claude CMS store can take payments through Stripe. You connect your own Stripe account from the shop admin in a few minutes, and from then on card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link all settle straight into it.

Do you charge anything on top of Stripe's fees?

No. Claude CMS takes no transaction fee and no percentage of your sales, at any size of store. Stripe's own card processing rates apply, and those are between you and Stripe — check their pricing for your country.

Which currencies and countries are supported?

Stores can charge in pounds, US dollars, euros, Australian dollars and Canadian dollars, and can accept payment from any country Stripe supports. Your prices stay exactly as you entered them; nothing is converted behind your back.

Does checkout support Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes. Checkout runs on Stripe, so Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link appear automatically for customers whose device supports them, alongside cards with 3D Secure where a bank asks for it.

Can I sell subscriptions?

Yes. Mark a product as a monthly subscription and the store charges the customer today and on the same date every month through Stripe. Each renewal raises a new order for you to ship, and customers can cancel from their account.

How do refunds work?

Refund an order, in full or in part, from the shop admin or by asking Claude. The refund goes back through Stripe to the customer's original card and the order is marked accordingly.

What about PayPal, or another payment provider?

Stripe is the provider most stores start with, but it is not a requirement. Tell us at setup which provider you take payments through — PayPal or another — and we will connect the store to it.

The rest of your stack, one connection away

Payments are one piece. The same store talks to your carriers, your spreadsheets and your inbox, and each connection gets its own page as it goes live.

If it has an API, we’ll build the connection

Every other platform answers this question with “is there an app for that?” We answer it by writing the connection. There is no app store here, so nothing has to be popular enough for someone else to build it first, and there is no extra subscription at the end of it.

Your site is your own PHP/MySQL, not a sandbox, so an integration is ordinary server code against the vendor’s API rather than whatever a marketplace app is permitted to reach. Credentials are deposited encrypted in your account area and used server-side only.

Anything with a documented API

Accounting, inventory, CRM, booking, couriers, marketplaces, your own internal system. If it publishes an API, it can be connected.

Built for your workflow

Not the generic version that suits a hundred thousand shops. The one that matches how you actually work, because it is written for you.

No app store, no app bill

Connections come with your plan. No per-app subscription stacking up month after month, and no revenue share on your sales.

Early customers keep this. Connections are included on your plan for as long as you stay on it. If we ever charge separately for them, it will not be for the people who backed us early — you keep what you signed up for.

Tell us the tool and what you need it to do. If it genuinely cannot be done — no API, or the vendor does not allow it — we will say so rather than sell you a workaround.

Stripe payments come with every store

The Setup + Monthly plan includes the whole store — products, checkout, subscriptions, refunds and the Stripe connection — for one flat monthly price. No add-ons, no per-transaction fees.
