Three ways to point Claude at a Squarespace site
There is no official Squarespace MCP server today. What exists are workarounds, each with a different trade-off between effort and control.
1. Community MCP servers
Open-source MCP servers wrap Squarespace's public APIs — primarily Commerce endpoints. Connected to Claude, they can read and manage products, inventory, orders and transactions using an API key from your Squarespace developer settings.
2. Browser control
Claude's browser extension can drive the Squarespace editor the way you would — clicking, typing, rearranging blocks. It works for hands-off edits, but it's slow, session-bound and fragile compared to a real API connection.
3. Code injection & CSS
On Business plans and above, Claude can write custom CSS and code-injection snippets for you to paste in. Claude does the thinking; you're still the hands. Fine for tweaks, unworkable for building.

Why the Squarespace + Claude bridge stays narrow
Squarespace is a closed, hosted platform — that's its appeal and its ceiling. Claude can only ever reach what the platform chooses to expose, and page building isn't part of it. If what you actually want is Claude building and running the site itself — pages, design, database, backend code, deployment — that requires a stack Claude has real access to. Does Squarespace have an MCP server?
Squarespace does not publish an official MCP server. There are community-built servers, and Squarespace exposes a limited public API, so what Claude can do is narrower than with WordPress or Shopify.
Can Claude connect to Squarespace?
Partly. Claude can work with the areas Squarespace's API covers, and a browser-control route can reach more, but neither gives the full read and write access you get on an open platform.
Can Claude build a Squarespace website?
