Claude CMS is a PHP application with a built-in database. Any Linux host with PHP 8.2 or newer, the Zip extension, .htaccess rewrites and a certificate for your domain will run it.
What any host needs
Four things. Most shared hosting with cPanel or a similar control panel has all of them, and the installer checks before it starts.
PHP 8.2 or newer
Claude CMS runs on PHP 8.0 and up, but choose a version that still gets security updates: 8.2, 8.3 or 8.4. Most hosts let you switch in their control panel.
The Zip extension
The installer downloads Claude CMS as one package and unpacks it in place. It is switched on at almost every host.
.htaccess rewrites
Clean page addresses come from an .htaccess file, which Apache and LiteSpeed servers read. That covers most shared hosting.
A certificate for your domain
Claude reaches your site over HTTPS and checks the certificate, so it has to be issued for your domain. Most hosts include a free one.
No database to set up. Claude CMS keeps your content in a built-in database file that the installer creates. A MySQL database from your host is optional.
