PayPal integration

Take PayPal at checkout, alongside cards

Some customers will only pay with PayPal. Give them the button next to cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and let the money settle into your own PayPal account with no platform fee on the sale.

PayPal is connected as a payment provider on the store: choose PayPal, Stripe or both at setup. Payments settle to your merchant account, and orders are created from the completed payment exactly as they are for cards.

The PayPal button, in a store you own

PayPal customers pay the way they want, card customers pay the way they want, and every order lands in the same admin.

PayPal runs beside Stripe as a provider on the store, not as a plugin on top of it, so both feed the same order pipeline, emails and reports.

💳

The PayPal button

Customers who trust PayPal see it at checkout and pay without typing a card. Those who prefer cards still can, through PayPal or through Stripe.

🔒

Your own account

Payments settle into your PayPal Business account, not ours. Payouts, disputes and reporting stay in your PayPal dashboard.

No platform fee

Claude CMS adds nothing to a PayPal sale. You pay PayPal's rate and that is all, at any size of store.

🔄

Stripe and PayPal together

Run both. Cards, wallets and Link through Stripe, the PayPal button for PayPal customers, all landing as orders in one admin.

📋

Orders in one place

PayPal and card orders sit side by side with the same fulfilment, emails and reports, so you never reconcile two lists.

Your currency

Charge in pounds, US dollars, euros, Australian or Canadian dollars. Prices stay exactly as you typed them.

Your PayPal, connected at setup

Tell us you take PayPal when you set the store up and we connect your business account. You keep the account, its rates and its history.

The store records your PayPal merchant id and creates orders from completed PayPal payments; the merchant account, payouts and disputes remain entirely yours.

01

Choose PayPal at setup

Pick PayPal, Stripe or both as your payment provider when you create the store. A PayPal Business account is free if you do not have one.

02

We connect your account

We link the store to your PayPal Business account and switch the button on at checkout.

03

Take orders

PayPal payments arrive as orders next to everything else, ready to fulfil, with the confirmation email sent from your own address.

What you need

A PayPal Business account (free; a personal account can be upgraded in minutes) and the email address it is registered to.

How you get paid

Into your PayPal balance, as now, and to your bank on PayPal's schedule. The money never passes through us.

What it costs

PayPal's own transaction rate, set by PayPal and the same on any platform. Claude CMS adds nothing on top.

Payments, in plain English

Claude runs the shop through the same tools the admin uses, so anything you would click through, you can also just say.

Show me this month's PayPal orders next to the card orders.
Which orders paid by PayPal are still unfulfilled?
Turn the PayPal button off for a week while we sort the account.
Switch the store to take both Stripe and PayPal.
How much came in through PayPal last month?

PayPal here, or PayPal on a marketplace platform

PayPal's rate is the same wherever you use it. What changes is what the platform charges for letting you.

PayPal on Claude CMS — common questions

Can I use PayPal with Claude CMS?

Yes. Every Claude CMS store can take PayPal, on its own or alongside Stripe. Tell us at setup and we connect your PayPal Business account.

Do I need a PayPal Business account?

Yes. It is free, and PayPal upgrades a personal account in a few minutes.

Can customers pay by card through PayPal without an account?

Yes. PayPal offers guest card payment on its checkout, so a customer without a PayPal account is not turned away.

Do you add a fee to PayPal sales?

No. Claude CMS takes no percentage of any sale. PayPal's own rate applies and is between you and PayPal.

Can I run PayPal and Stripe at the same time?

Yes, and most stores do: Stripe for cards and wallets, the PayPal button for PayPal customers, all arriving as orders in one admin.

What about subscriptions through PayPal?

Subscriptions run through Stripe today. If your recurring customers need PayPal, tell us at setup and we will plan the store around it.

The rest of your stack, one connection away

Payments are one piece. The same store talks to your carriers, your spreadsheets and your inbox.

If it has an API, we’ll build the connection

Every other platform answers this question with “is there an app for that?” We answer it by writing the connection. There is no app store here, so nothing has to be popular enough for someone else to build it first, and there is no extra subscription at the end of it.

Your site is your own PHP/MySQL, not a sandbox, so an integration is ordinary server code against the vendor’s API rather than whatever a marketplace app is permitted to reach. Credentials are deposited encrypted in your account area and used server-side only.

Anything with a documented API

Accounting, inventory, CRM, booking, couriers, marketplaces, your own internal system. If it publishes an API, it can be connected.

Built for your workflow

Not the generic version that suits a hundred thousand shops. The one that matches how you actually work, because it is written for you.

No app store, no app bill

Connections come with your plan. No per-app subscription stacking up month after month, and no revenue share on your sales.

Early customers keep this. Connections are included on your plan for as long as you stay on it. If we ever charge separately for them, it will not be for the people who backed us early — you keep what you signed up for.

Tell us the tool and what you need it to do. If it genuinely cannot be done — no API, or the vendor does not allow it — we will say so rather than sell you a workaround.

PayPal comes with every store

The Setup + Monthly plan includes the whole store and whichever payment providers you use, for one flat monthly price. No add-ons, no per-transaction fees.

  • PayPal button at checkout, with or without Stripe
