Gmail integration

Email from your own address, not a no-reply

Connect your Gmail or Google Workspace address and everything your site sends comes from you: order confirmations, sign-in links, and any email you ask Claude to write and send.

The site authenticates to Google with an app password and sends over SMTP with TLS as your address, so replies land in your inbox and deliverability rides on your own domain. Any other SMTP server connects the same way.

Every email from you

No shared sender, no no-reply address, no separate email service to pay for. Your site and Claude send as you, and replies come back to you.

Transactional mail from the store and one-off mail from Claude both go through the same connection, authenticated as your address, so SPF and DKIM are your domain's own.

📬

Order emails from you

Confirmations and account sign-in links go out from your own address, so customers recognise the sender and can simply reply.

Claude can write and send

Ask Claude to email a customer about their order, chase a supplier or send a quote, and it goes from your address.

Replies come to you

Nothing is sent from a shared or no-reply address. Answers arrive in your normal inbox.

🛡

Your domain, your reputation

Mail leaves through Google from your own address with your domain's authentication, which is what keeps it out of spam folders.

Two minutes to connect

An app password from your Google account, pasted once into Claude CMS. No developer, no DNS records to add.

Any other mail server too

Not on Google? Connect any SMTP server the same way and get the same result.

Connected with an app password

Google lets you create a password just for one app. You make one, paste it into Claude CMS, and the site can send as you.

App passwords authenticate directly over SMTP with TLS; no OAuth consent screen, no scopes to review. The password is encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving.

01

Create an app password

In your Google account, under Security, create an app password. Google shows it once.

02

Paste it in

In your Claude CMS account, add the address and the password. The connection is tested straight away.

03

Send

Order emails switch to your address automatically, and Claude gains a send tool.

What you need

A Gmail or Google Workspace address with 2-step verification switched on, which app passwords require.

What can be sent

Outbound only. The site and Claude send as you; your inbox is never read.

What it costs

Included in every plan. Sending stays within Google's normal daily limits for your account.

Email, in plain English

Claude sends through the same connection your site uses, so a message can be one step in a bigger job.

Email the customer on order 1042 to say it has been dispatched.
Send Jo a quote for the two workshops we discussed, using the details on the contact page.
Reply to yesterday's enquiry and offer Thursday or Friday.
Draft a launch email for the new range and send it to me to check.
Send the order confirmation for 1042 again; the customer says it did not arrive.
Tell the three customers with unshipped orders that dispatch is Monday.

Your address, or the platform's

Most builders send your customer emails from their own servers and a no-reply address, or charge for the privilege of using yours.

Gmail on Claude CMS — common questions

Does Claude read my email?

No. The connection is send-only. The site and Claude can send as your address; nothing is read from your inbox.

What is an app password?

A password Google creates for a single app so you never share your real one. It needs 2-step verification on the account and can be revoked at any time from your Google settings.

Will my emails land in spam?

They leave through Google from your own address with your domain's authentication, which is the best position any sender can be in. Sending from a platform's shared address is what usually causes spam problems.

Can I use an address that is not Gmail?

Yes. Any SMTP server connects the same way, and Google Workspace addresses work exactly like Gmail.

What does the store send automatically?

Order confirmations and account sign-in links, from your address once it is connected. Until then they go out from the site's own sender.

Are there limits?

Google's daily sending limits for your account type apply. For most stores they are far above what a day's orders need.

The rest of your stack, one connection away

Email is one piece. The same site keeps its data in sheets, backs itself up to Drive, takes payments and ships orders.

If it has an API, we’ll build the connection

Every other platform answers this question with “is there an app for that?” We answer it by writing the connection. There is no app store here, so nothing has to be popular enough for someone else to build it first, and there is no extra subscription at the end of it.

Your site is your own PHP/MySQL, not a sandbox, so an integration is ordinary server code against the vendor’s API rather than whatever a marketplace app is permitted to reach. Credentials are deposited encrypted in your account area and used server-side only.

Anything with a documented API

Accounting, inventory, CRM, booking, couriers, marketplaces, your own internal system. If it publishes an API, it can be connected.

Built for your workflow

Not the generic version that suits a hundred thousand shops. The one that matches how you actually work, because it is written for you.

No app store, no app bill

Connections come with your plan. No per-app subscription stacking up month after month, and no revenue share on your sales.

Early customers keep this. Connections are included on your plan for as long as you stay on it. If we ever charge separately for them, it will not be for the people who backed us early — you keep what you signed up for.

Tell us the tool and what you need it to do. If it genuinely cannot be done — no API, or the vendor does not allow it — we will say so rather than sell you a workaround.

Gmail sending comes with every plan

Included at every level of Claude CMS. Connect your address once and every email the site sends carries it.

  • Order and account emails from your own address
  • Claude writes and sends on request
  • Any SMTP server, not only Google
  • Cancel anytime · revoke the app password whenever you like
