Claude CMS sites can now sell. Ask Claude to "add a shop" and it deploys a headless ecommerce store — products, stock, Stripe checkout and an order admin in your account — while your site stays the fast, self-hosted front end. Payments go to your own Stripe account; we never hold your money.
Traditional ecommerce platforms bolt a shop onto your website — plugins, databases, checkout code, all living on your server, all yours to maintain. Headless ecommerce splits that apart: your site stays a clean, fast front end, and the store — the product catalogue, stock levels, checkout and orders — runs on a dedicated commerce platform behind an API.
That's the architecture Claude CMS now ships. Your pages render your products; the commerce layer handles the transactional heavy lifting. Your site keeps the speed and simplicity that made you choose a self-hosted setup in the first place, and there's no shop plugin to update, patch or break.
Because Claude already manages your site, the storefront matches your brand automatically — your colours, your fonts, your navigation. Ask for a shop and it arrives looking like the rest of your site, not like a template that came with a platform.
Your Claude CMS account now has a Shop tab. From there you can:
And because this is Claude CMS, you can also just ask. "Add these 12 products from my spreadsheet", "put everything in the sale category down 15%", "which orders haven't shipped?" — the same conversational control you already use for pages works for your catalogue.
Checkout is hosted by Stripe — the same payment flow used by millions of businesses, with cards, wallets and Stripe's fraud protection included. Crucially, it's connected to your own Stripe account: money goes directly to you, minus nothing from us. VAT is handled UK-style with tax-inclusive pricing, and shipping rates are configured to your real parcel sizes — weight bands, free-over thresholds, the lot.
We configure tax, shipping and payments with you during setup, then you run the day-to-day from your account. It's the same split that makes the rest of Claude CMS work: you talk about what you want, the machinery stays out of sight.
If you're already a Claude CMS customer, ask us — or ask Claude — to add ecommerce, and we'll wire your store during setup. If you're new, the ecommerce website builder page covers what a full store build looks like, and pricing starts at £6.99 a month.
