Nothing between you and the runway.

Charter from Farnborough, Biggin Hill and Luton on aircraft we hold on our own AOC, flown by crews on our own payroll.

No broker in the middle, no mark-up you cannot see. Every quote arrives itemised down to the last handling fee — median twenty minutes, seven days a week.

Nine aircraft, three classes, one operator — Phenom 300E, Citation Latitude and Challenger 650, all maintained in our own Part-145 hangar at Farnborough.

How a charter runs

Four steps, and none of them
involve a call centre.

You speak to the same three people every time. Kirsty, Rowan or Dev — all of them sit ten metres from the flight-planning desk in Hangar 12.

We are the operator, not the middleman. Ockham Air holds CAA Air Operator Certificate GB‑2144 and maintains its own fleet under EASA Part‑145 approval. When you charter with us the aircraft, the crew and the engineer who signed it off are all ours — which is why we can quote a firm price in twenty minutes instead of ringing round.

after the invoice lands.

Repeat booking rate84% over 24 months

“We compared four operators on the same Geneva rotation. Ockham were the only ones whose quote matched the invoice to the penny — twice.”

Sarah OkonjoChief Financial Officer, Kingsbridge Renewables

“A deal signing moved forward by nineteen hours. Rowan had a Latitude at Biggin Hill and four of us in Milan before the other side had booked a hotel.”

Marcus ThaneManaging Partner, Verrall & Pike

“Twelve people, eleven flight cases and a cellist who will not be parted from her instrument. Nobody blinked, and the cello got its own seat.”

Questions

The ones the ops desk
answers every week.

Ninety minutes from a confirmed booking is normal at Farnborough and Biggin Hill during opening hours, assuming crew are on standby duty and the slot is available. Luton is H24 so a genuine middle-of-the-night departure is possible with about three hours’ notice. The constraint is almost never the aircraft — it is the flight plan filing and the handling agent at the far end.

Only on UK domestic flights, where the whole charter is standard-rated at 20%. International charter departing the UK is zero-rated, which is why the VAT line in the planner drops to nil the moment you pick a destination outside the country. Air Passenger Duty is separate, is charged per passenger on UK departures only, and is shown on its own line.

We hold two spare airframes across the fleet and a standing agreement with three operators at Farnborough. If your aircraft is unserviceable we put you on another one at our cost, at the same class or better. If we cannot recover the flight within four hours you are refunded in full, and we say so in the contract rather than in a service promise.

Dogs travel in the cabin, unboxed, at no charge — we only need the weight and a pet passport for EU arrivals. Skis and bikes fit the Latitude and Challenger holds without dismantling; the Phenom takes skis but not a full-size road bike. Anything fragile that wants a seat can have one, charged as a passenger. Tell the ops desk the awkward items first, not last.

Free cancellation up to 72 hours before departure. Inside 72 hours we retain 25%; inside 24 hours, 50%; and after crew report, the full charter price. Empty legs are non-refundable from the moment they are confirmed because the aircraft is already committed. Weather cancellations by the commander are always refunded in full.

We buy sustainable aviation fuel at Farnborough and blend it to 30% across the fleet, which is the highest blend the uplift allows today. The remainder is offset through Gold Standard removals, not avoidance credits, and we publish the retirement certificates every quarter. Block-hour clients get the SAF blend included; on ad hoc charter it is an itemised £0.42 per nautical mile.

Two cities and a date. That is the whole form.

Call the ops desk and speak to Kirsty, Rowan or Dev. If it is out of hours, leave a message on the same number — it rings a phone that a duty officer is holding.
