Brand strategy
Positioning, audience, architecture. We find the one thing you can say that competitors can't, then make everything else agree with it.
Studio Norma builds brands with a spine. Strategy, identity and digital design for companies that would rather be argued about than scrolled past.
A Scandinavian roastery outgrowing its farmers-market roots. We rebuilt the brand around a single typographic gesture and a bag you can read across a café. Retail listings tripled in nine months.
A fintech drowning in category sameness. New positioning, a hard-edged design system and a marketing site that loads in under a second. Demo requests up 212% in the first quarter.
Skincare with a lab, not a mood board. We drew a proprietary grotesk, stripped the packaging to ingredient math, and let the science do the seducing.
An independent label with forty releases a year and no visual memory. One kinetic identity system now flexes across sleeves, socials and stage visuals without a designer touching it.
Industrial robotics, renamed and rebuilt from the bolt up. A monolithic wordmark, engineering-drawing art direction, and a site that finally explains what the machines actually do.
Positioning, audience, architecture. We find the one thing you can say that competitors can't, then make everything else agree with it.
Wordmarks, systems, guidelines that get used instead of shelved. Built to survive interns, resellers and the next five years.
Custom and modified typefaces. Because renting the same grotesk as everyone else is how brands become beige.
Marketing sites and product interfaces, designed and built. Fast, accessible, and opinionated enough to be remembered.
Shelf presence engineered like signage. Structure, print production and a finish schedule your printer will respect.
Campaigns, photography and motion language. One consistent voice from the billboard down to the email footer.
“Neutral is not safe.
Neutral is invisible.”
Studio Norma is a fourteen-person design practice split between Rotterdam and London. We take on eight to ten projects a year — never more — because good work needs partners, not account managers. Every project is led by a founder from the first call to the final file.
Our belief is simple: the market punishes politeness. The brands that grow are the ones with a defensible point of view, expressed with discipline. We supply the discipline and help you defend the point of view. Meetings are short. Deadlines are real. The work speaks.
